A not for profit organisation in York, run entirely by volunteers and funded by donations.
Treasure Chest aims to promote, support and encourage breastfeeding/chestfeeding in the York area.
Looking for support?
Treasure Chest runs weekly groups, both face-to-face and on Zoom, as well as managing a thriving Facebook support community. Plus, 10 times a year we run an antenatal workshop for pregnant people thinking about breastfeeding. When possible we also have volunteers on the wards at York hospital.
If you are passionate about breastfeeding and are interested in helping Treasure Chest support more breastfeeding families, there are a few ways you can get involved. Whether that’s training to be a peer supporter, helping us raise awareness or making a financial donation; all support is gratefully received.
We receive no statutory financial help from either the NHS or the council.
Treasure Chest operates purely with the generosity of our volunteers giving up their free time to provide support for breastfeeding families. We rely heavily on donations to provide this support. Find out more about making a donation to Treasure Chest. All donations are gratefully received.
