Support our work

If you are passionate about breastfeeding and are interested in helping Treasure Chest support more breastfeeding families there are a few ways you can get involved:

Become a volunteer Peer Supporter

If you have breastfeed for at least six months and are interested in directly helping other families we would love you to apply to become a Peer Supporter. Please be aware that the application process will include a DBS check.

Donate

Treasure Chest receive no statutory financial help from either the NHS or the council. Donations to Treasure Chest help us train new Peer Supporters and promote the services we provide. See our donate page for details about how you can donate either as a one off or as you shop.

Fundraising

Treasure Chest volunteers and supporters also raise funds themselves through events such as cake sales, jumble sales and summer fairs. If you think you can help with a fundraising activity please contact us, or make a donation to Treasure Chest.

Help raise awareness

If you can help spread the word by handing out leaflets at a group you attend please let us know.

Tell your story

Whenever possible we like real families who are currently breastfeeding to join our antenatal workshops to tell expectant families about your own story. It is an opportunity for those interested in breastfeeding to ask questions about what it is really like.

We also use case studies and testimonials on our site.

If you are interested in telling your story in either of these ways, please get in touch.
